Job Description

As a Tissue Engineering Intern, you will be at the heart of our R&D. You will evaluate physical, biochemical, and process-based strategies to optimize the material and aesthetic properties of our cell-cultured leather.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experimental Design: Assist in designing and executing experiments to enhance the material and aesthetic properties of our cell culture tissues and leathers.

  • Characterization: Conduct rigorous biological, biochemical, and physical analysis to evaluate the properties of our cell culture tissues and leathers.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and iterate on key process parameters to enhance our cell culture tissues and leathers.

  • Documentation: Maintain records of experimental workflows and results.

Preferred Experience

Required Background

  • Education: Final-year Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Tissue Engineering, or a related biotechnology field.

  • Mindset: A strong biological foundation combined with a "maker" or "prototyping" mindset. You enjoy building setups as much as pipetting.

Preferred Skills

  • Cell culture: Hands-on experience with cell culture and an understanding of 3D tissue culture.

  • Analytical Rigor: Strong interest in experimental design and data interpretation.

  • Autonomy: Comfort working with laboratory equipment and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and fluency in English (our primary working language).
