Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to overlook and organize the execution of our current manufacturing processes, while supporting process evolutions aiming at improving efficiency, quality or introducing new product manufacturing. This role sits at the intersection of production execution, process discipline, and supply coordination. You will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes are still being defined.

This role is for a builder, as you will play a central role in shaping, operating and improving our manufacturing platform.

Manufacturing & Daily Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day manual production activities

  • Ensure production runs are executed according to SOPs, batch records, and schedules

  • Coordinate operators and technicians during production and development runs

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment

  • Identify deviations, issues, or inefficiencies and escalate appropriately

Development & Pilot Runs

  • Support development and experimental runs alongside R&D and Operations

  • Ensure experimental processes are documented clearly and executed consistently

  • Help assess whether development runs are suitable for transition into production

  • Provide hands-on feedback on manufacturability, repeatability, and risks

Process Discipline & Documentation

  • Follow and enforce existing SOPs and work instructions

  • Help improve SOPs based on real production experience

  • Ensure batch records, logs, and production data are accurate and complete

  • Contribute to process standardization as production matures

Supply Chain & Materials Coordination

  • Track raw materials, consumables, and production supplies

  • Coordinate with procurement and operations to ensure material availability

  • Monitor inventory levels and flag risks early

  • Ensure correct materials are used for production vs development runs

  • Support incoming material checks and traceability

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow safety procedures and reinforce safe working practices

  • Ensure quality expectations are met during production and pilot runs

  • Flag non-conformities and participate in root-cause discussions

  • Support early quality system implementation

Preferred Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, pilot production, or lab-adjacent operations

  • Experience supervising or coordinating operators or technicians

  • Comfortable working in manual or semi-manual production environments

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

  • Familiarity with wet processes, biological materials, or advanced materials is a plus

  • Experience working closely with R&D or process development teams

Key Skills & Traits

  • Hands-on and pragmatic

  • Organized and reliable in a fast-changing environment

  • Calm; comfortable with processes that evolve

  • Strong communication skills across R&D, operations, and supply chain

  • Able to balance flexibility with discipline

  • Curious mindset with a bias toward continuous improvement

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to pilot plant or scale-up environments

  • Basic inventory or supply chain coordination experience

  • Familiarity with early-stage quality systems (non-GMP)

What Success Looks Like

  • Production runs are executed reliably and documented properly

  • Development runs are supported without disrupting core production

  • Materials are available when needed, with minimal surprises

  • SOPs improve over time instead of drifting

  • The production floor becomes calmer, safer, and more predictable
